This place was just a proper fit for a weekend escape in Southwold with incredible value for money. The owner has built lovely wooden booths outside for dining, which added a nice touch during our meal. Make sure to check the dining schedule as the owner has strict timing for finishing.

We had a lovely stay in a spacious Deluxe Double Room. The beautiful garden was perfect for sipping tea while enjoying the sun, and the comfy beds ensured a good night's sleep. Just a heads up, there wasn't any ketchup at breakfast, but it didn't ruin our experience! ☕

stayed in the james ii room n it was fantastic! the history there is amazin, with a cool 15th century ceiling. super comfy n spacious room, loved it. also, the restaurant food was wow! totally recommend the monkfish wellington, it was delish.
The parking is a bit of a walk but not terrible. also, might be hard to find a spot in peak season.

The stay was delightful, especially thanks to the charming decor and the luxurious walk-in shower in our room. We had two evening meals there, both of which were exceptional. The hosts made us feel at home, and we were just a stone's throw away from the beach and local amenities. It's a fantastic spot for relaxation and exploring Southwold.

Comfortable stay with useful amenities
Had a nice 2-night stay here. The check-in was smooth, and the room was pretty spacious with a modern bathroom. The mini bar was well-stocked, and I loved the fresh milk instead of UHT! A bit annoying that the shower flooded the bathroom, but overall, it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant was a highlight too.
